Ammar Shhab Makes The Skills Of The Future Available to Arab Youth Through Kun Academy

Dubai, UAE – 19th August, 2021 – The founder of the Kun Academy platform, Mr. Ammar Shehab, said that the adoption of the Arabic language in his platform was based on his belief that the skills that young people need can only be acquired in their mother tongue, describing Dubai as a beacon of the current era at the global level.

Shehab said in an interview with Dubai Satellite Channel that the goal of the “Kun Academy”, which he has run for four years, is to make the skills of the future for the 21st century in particular, available to Arab youth, noting this to “Arabic speakers”.

And he indicated that the platform’s agenda was based on collecting and listing the best sellers on international platforms in the past fifty years, and then presenting them on the Arab platform “Kun Academy”, indicating that he believes that education and skills can only be obtained by young people in their mother tongue.

Regarding the e-training approach and how the idea was generated on his platform, Shehab pointed out that the matter goes back to an old dream he had (since childhood), he said: “Since my childhood, I have dreamed of establishing a university that would promote Arab youth, and this is a message that I try to implement throughout my life.”

He added in this regard: “In the last twenty years, tools have appeared in accordance with the development that has occurred in the world, and we have had factors that help to achieve our dreams and messages in life more.”

He talked about the achievements of his academy, recalling: “We created an entire media generation that we see today on the best Arab satellite screens, such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Arabiya, and we trained more than 12,000 trainees during 18 years in the Arabian Gulf and the Arab region.”

Regarding the future and ambition in this context, the founder of Kun Academy said: “Our goal is to train 120 million Arabs instead of 12 thousand, provided that all trainees possess the skills and become ready to compete globally because competition is no longer only Arab.”

In response to a question about the speed of the Internet in Dubai and the amount of support this matter provided to his work, Shehab described the Emirate of Dubai as a global beacon in this era, surpassing, in his opinion, the Arab framework. He said: “Dubai has an infrastructure that helps build strategies for the world as a whole, and in Dubai, as we all know, all e-commerce companies in the world are focused.”

He added: “Dubai is a civilized beacon to the world, similar to the beacon of the Arabs in the days of Andalusia, and their beacon in the days of Damascus in the Umayyad era, as well as their beacon in Baghdad in the days of the Abbasids.”

He highlighted a point of value and an Arab dimension, noting the importance of training in Dubai: “We have training in Italy, America and England, but our message and as long as it is Arab, we must make Dubai the platform and the place from which the project is launched for the world.”

Shehab focused on the need for Arab youth to compete globally by addressing the sciences of the 21st century, expressing his regret that this youth has been suffering from cognitive illiteracy for hundreds of years about contemporary science, referring to the underdeveloped study curricula, revealing the intentions of the Kun Academy platform to be Supporter and developer in this regard.

On the method of providing online courses, Shehab revealed, first, that the number of visitors currently reached 600,000 visitors on the platform and 20,000 users, indicating that the next goal is to reach 200 million Arab visitors.

On the role of the Corona epidemic in providing the opportunity for online education through its platform, he pointed out that the Kun Academy platform was launched 4 years ago, but the epidemic provided the opportunity to use the Internet and provided students with attendance in the halls, stressing that online education has become a reality more than ever before. And that will be the reality in the future.
