Belize City, Belize – 12 Oct, 2023 – The marketing team of Wiggins Music Group Worldwide announced the arrival of R. Cory Johnson in Belize for the very first time. Nigel P. Miguel, President of Belize Global Media and Co-Founder of Wiggins Media Group Worldwide Distribution, Gerald Wiggins, officially welcomed the music producer and multi-instrumentalist in the country.
A welcome sight after the unprecedented COVID-19 shocker to the global music entertainment industry, the music veteran and CEO of the music production company Melodies Music Prouctions, R. Cory Johnson, toured the country, meeting some of the critically acclaimed names and emerging music artists of the Belize music industry. He also experienced the nightlife of Central America and visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the country.
R. Cory Johnson first rose to fame with the Stellar-nominated 2008 Billboard Gospel radio single, Work It Out. He owns his own recording studio in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been in the music business for a long time. He has toured within the United States and all across the world. He has previously worked with top-rated recording artists, including Allen & Allen, Byron Cage, Lisa McCleadon, the Georgia Mass Choir, and Donnie McClurkin, to name a few.
The Belize visit saw the music producer meet upcoming sensations Nuru Ellis and Prophit. In partnership with Belize Global Media and Wiggins Media Group Worldwide Distribution, he showcased Belize’s vibrant musical culture. He has also worked to bring the Afro-Caribbean Garifuna music genres, including punta, paranda, and punta rock, to audiences worldwide. Unlike ever before, the collaboration is expected to put Belizean music artists among the internationally renowned music names.
Belize Global Media expressed well wishes for R. Cory. Founded recently, the media company provides an international platform for local Belize entertainers. The mutual good thoughts were also shared by the co-founder of Wiggins Music Group Worldwide, an independent global music company in business for almost two decades.
